Services · Modernisation and replatforming

Old systems usually hold business rules nobody has written down. We map what yours actually does, put a clean API in front of it, and move it to a modern stack piece by piece, running old and new side by side until the numbers match.

What we do

Ageing systems moved to a modern stack and a managed cloud, one piece at a time and without a risky big-bang switch.

Old systems usually still hold the business logic nobody has written down. We map what the system really does, put a clean API in front of it, then move it piece by piece, running old and new side by side until the numbers match.

Discovery and mapping

Code, data and workflows documented, so the rebuild keeps the rules the business depends on.

Incremental migration

New services grow around the old system until it can be switched off, with no weekend of planned downtime.

Data migration

Scripted, repeatable and reconciled, with rehearsals on real data before the final cut-over.

What you get

Deliverables, not just hours

  • A documented map of the current system, data and workflows
  • A migration plan that avoids a risky big-bang switch
  • Scripted, rehearsed data migration with reconciliation
  • Little or no planned downtime at cut-over

Patient portal with an intake summary awaiting clinician review

Healthcare · Cloud migration and patient portal · 20 weeks

An ageing clinic system moved to the cloud with no downtime

A clinic group ran scheduling and records on an ageing on-premise application. It was slow, hard to change and one hardware failure away from a very bad week.

We moved the system to a managed cloud environment piece by piece and rebuilt the patient portal for booking and forms. A final addition drafts a short intake summary for the clinician to check, and it never leaves the clinic's own cloud account.

Questions

Common questions

Do we have to rewrite everything at once?

No. We replace the system in slices, building new services around the old one until it can be switched off, so the business keeps running throughout.

How do you avoid losing data during a migration?

Migrations are scripted and repeatable, rehearsed on real copies of your data, and reconciled record by record before the final cut-over.

Can you modernise a system with no documentation?

Yes. Reading the code, the data and how people actually use the system is the first step, and the documentation we write along the way is yours to keep.
